Research Focus

Synthetic Photorefractive Polymer Composite

Our research interest includes synthesis and characterization of p-type photoconductive polymer for photorefractive (PR) composite. The polymer is then mixed with nonlinear optical (NLO) chromophore, plasticizer and sensitizer to fabricate PR film. The study aims to achieve a fast response and high efficiency PR composite by improving charge generation, hole mobility, and controlling trap density. The fabrication of a PR film device for 3D display and communication is also a part of the research. Our current research interests are holography, photoconductive polymer, charge carriers photo-generation and transportation in PR materials as well as organic semiconductor.
